The Ganges is a sacred river which has been the symbol of India, its heart and soul for many thousand years. According to legend the Ganges was a divine river which came down to earth. It doesn’t sound like a miracle when admiring its prides of the morning and sunset landscapes which paint the place in heavenlike colors. The waters of the Ganges flood lands giving food and are considered to be the place for ritual baths and Hindu cremation. On the whole, this waterway provides Hindu from their birth to death and then follows them to the overworld.
