Cartagena is an amazing city in the coast of the Caribbean Sea, which keeps magnificent colonial residences and even more ancient monuments in archeological parks. The Inquisition Palace, the Statehouse and ancient fortresses, which defended the city from pirates remind us about the Middle Ages and Spanish dominion. There are narrow streets and passages, paved streetways and the spirit of the bygone epoch in the Old City defended with stone walls.
